MARC MONTEBELLO PORTFOLIO INSTAGRAM THREADS

Sep 6, 2008  •  Livin' Large

there's paranoia afoot for photogs posting to the likes of flickr and picasa photo-sharing sites. thanks to ungrateful bums who steal pixels for their own credit, or worse, for capital gain when used in adverts and editorials, many of us end up displaying our images rather microscopically, relatively speaking. this makes your work less 'usable' for thieves, but unfortunately rather unexciting as a viewing experience. however there are some news sites apparently lusting for the good old days of 16x20 'C' prints, and filling up browser windows everywhere, copyright infringements be damned. a couple of the more engrossing ones are, boston.com's the big picture and, to a less successful degree, the WSJ's new photo journal. (you can click da big airplane below to see just how large they get.. cool.) mm
