in all honesty, after a decade in china, the situation begs itself a 'first world' issue at best and one that has been regurgitated for a very very long time. but it is funny no one at the OQLP (l'Office québécois de la langue française) ever bothers to mention that the algonquin word used to christen this fair land, 'québec' (kébec), is in fact 'détroit' in french and thus should be corrected. that would be a legitimate defence to their insanity methinks, not to mention the decaying roads and bridges of montréal bring its american namesake to mind.
