in keeping with the autumnal theme, here's a few snippets from an excursion to mont st. hilaire (gault nature reserve). the area has great getaway qualities and is very close to montréal (though i would highly recommend a weekday visit for a bit more of a wilderness experience).

my long-loved high school mate, alex, was back in montréal for a week with his daughter clara-rose. she (with support from dad) was here to give concerts of her solo violin work in montréal and ottawa.. and to a couple of very lucky squirrels.
